Waverly Lake

Visitors to Waverly Lake will be able to enjoy the many activities available on-site, such as renting paddle boats. If you want some fun water sports in Albany, then this is your destination. The Waverly Duck is a famous landmark of Albany, OR and can often be seen floating around the city’s namesake lake. Paddlers are allowed on Wednesday through Sunday, so head out for some fun today.

The lake is a beautiful place to explore, and there’s so much you can do on it. You could go fishing or take your boat out for an adventure. If water sports aren’t really what interests you, then try paddling around one of our huge Wood Duck decoys- they’re perfect spots where random people meet up every day (and sometimes even become friends).

The Waverly Duck is a beloved part of our city. It has welcomed visitors to the lake since 1980, and in 2007 it needed restoration after being painted over many years before that by artists who never got around to restoring its original vibrant colors, which are now on display once more, thanks largely due to this past summer’s hard work. If you want to get in touch with your inner child this summer, head over to Waverly Lake. You’ll be able to enjoy the sun and have some healthy competition on water sports like kayaking or paddleboarding while getting closer than ever before from nature’s giants: ducks.

The boats run Wednesday through Friday from noon to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday/Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., until Sept 6th. Cost is $5 per half hour with four people maximum able in each boat. Six paddle boating opportunities are available at The Paddling Place; they provide an easy diversion on our five-acre lake, which features fishing spots, walking paths around its perimeter as well as picnic areas close by. There’s also some large Wood Duck decoys that locals have come accustomed to over time – this makes their presence known when you visit Albany.

The Waverly Duck is a now fully functioning, renovated waterfowl that has been welcoming visitors to Albany for over 30 years. The original ducks were Pulled from their home in 2007 after being badly damaged by storms and neglect; however, with help from volunteers as well as Main Auto Body’s hard work, we have been able to relaunch this once fallen symbol of our city back into shape.

Waverly Lake, located just outside of Portland in Oregon’s Nikelandia district, is a small fishing hole that offers both duck and paddle boat tours. In addition to these water activities, there are also trout planted by The Department Of Fish And Wildlife who weigh over 10 pounds.
